And hopefully it's ONLY 4.
I'm trying not to let the election results ruin my day. I'm just sad, and maybe a little surprised, that there are so many Americans who fell for Obama's rhetoric, but didn't hear what he was actually saying.
Or didn't care.
So, here's what Neal Boortz, on his website today, says we have to look forward to:
The end of the secret ballot in union elections
A return of the Fairness Doctrine
A tax code punishing the wealthy, businesses, entrepreneurs, achievers
More federal government in government schools
Universal healthcare
Cap-and-trade policies on coal (no nuclear power, no drilling)
Supreme Court justices who favor a vaporous idea of "fairness" over the Constitution
The security of our nation and our allies (particularly Israel)--(I'm thinking he meant the loss of security. Obama has no plans to strengthen our military, that's for sure.)
I can't believe that we elected a man who lamented the fact that our constitution doesn't say anything about what the government "must do on your behalf"! That shows the intelligence and mindset of a large portion of voters: What's in it for me?
Americans apparently don't understand the principles this country was founded on anymore.
While so many people despise George Bush, they have no problem with Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, etc., etc. But oh, that's right. All of that is just inconvenient coincidence. It has nothing to do with Obama's character. And if you believe that, I have a bridge for sale.
And while millions of people are worried and upset about the economy, no one is particularly concerned about terrorism.
By the way, if this election was not about race, then why is it that the only thing I'm hearing today in the liberal news media is how wonderful it is that we have elected a black man as president?
I mean it when I say this: I hope I never have to say, "I told you so." I sincerely hope the United States will continue to be the great country it has always been.
But I'm not feeling so good about that right now.

I'm not feeling so good, period. But I am hoping that in a few days I will come around enough to see my way to a path of action.
So much on my mind. BTW looks like a lot of my stalkers have stalked me all the way to you. hmmm
Yes, Lauren, I have noticed your stalkers dropping by. I've got to stop hanging out with you. You're a bad influence. ;)
I totally agree with you Productive Slacker! I watched the presidential rally in Grant Park, Chicago because I grew up there. What it really reminded me of was Martin Luther King's speech aimed towards only black people. I don't feel like this is going to be a better world for my children, or myself for that matter. Race was the total issue in this race, and Obama used it to win. And I wish I could have an optimistic outlook for our future but I just can't. Not after he's been associated with such people as Wright, Ayers, etc. I guess people don't want to look at the truth. I just don't trust him. And now I see reverse racism, towards white people. So I don't think this election is going to bring America together! Especially when you have african americans crying and saying "we finally have a black man in office!". How is that not about race? It's really sad...and I'm afraid and sad for our country.
I'm bummed too. We shall see if mighty Obama delivers...
Imagine feeling bad for four years. I hate to think that we can only " hope " everything works out for the best
